BIF have been involved with secure accommodation project works for over 25 years.

During this time we've completed hundreds of bedrooms, ensuites & seclusion rooms in the forensic healthcare sector, by providing durable, decorative & safe floor& wall finishes.

Improving aesthetics is as important as providing finishes which will deliver the durability needed in these often complex, small spaces.

Every installation is completed by our own, directly employed team who work under the guidance of our management team.

Our company have developed methods to overcome common defects found in secure environments (such as cracks developing across security door thresholds) and we have materials which provide incredibly tough, safe and attractive surfaces to ensure the long term durability of the facility.

Refurbishment
Our team regularly repair or refurbish individual rooms, under live wing conditions, in a number of high-security psychiatric & mental healthcare hospitals.

We have over 20 years experience of this type of work and work with customer staff to minimise disruption as the works are completed. All works are carried out by experienced, employed team members (not sub contract labour).

We also apply a matching finish to walls, to give an extremely durable finish in Seclusion Areas, which include ensuite, bedroom and de-escalation rooms.

The top edge of the resin cove finshes flush with the base of the wall finish, preventing dirt traps and ensuring no pickable edges, with the top of the resin cove and base of the wall finish, tucked into a saw cut strip.

A contrasting vision strip can also be cast into wall finishes, to aid orientation.

Internal corners are infilled with a radius of epoxy, to aid cleaning and maintaining hygiene.
