BIF-P-Flex Industrial
BIF-P-Elastic Industrial is a crack-bridging, pigmented and flexible levelling industrial flooring system, for medium-heavy mechanical loads.
BIF Services provide high quality resin flooring systems that perform with a long service life. The surface finish of this system, design and technical characteristics can be tailored to suite customer needs; surface finish, the number of regulating layers and the seal coats applied can be all modified to provide the right industrial flooring finish.
BIF - P - Elastic has been installed over an aged and heavily used Steel Checker Plate mezzanine floor.
The profiled plate surface was completely obliterated by installing the self-flowing resin in 2 layers. The new slip resistant surface provides a more comfortable, easier to clean & safer working surface finish.
This system provides a flexible membrane, and by reinforcing joints in the mezzanine floor, we provided lasting protection in an area of constant vibration.
This installation is approximately 4mm thick and is finished with a resin cove skirting detail, dressed to our hygienic PVC Wall Cladding system.
BIF - P - Elastic installed over a timber plank floor in an Edwardian Mill Building. The floor was stabilised by adding 2 layers of plywood. Joints in the plywood were reinforced with scrim tape before priming the floor. The flexible polyurethane resin was then applied (approx 2mm thickness). The floor was then sealed, using a rapid cure flexible resin coating, with the addition of a slip resistant bead additive.
The expected vibration of the floor was isolated from walls by a movement joint around room perimeters.
Walls were steam cleaned, primed and a reinforced hygienic wall coating system applied.
Interior decoration of walls, ceilings and floor were completed ahead of Plant installation, with a finishing coating then applied to floor surfaces, prior to Handover.

System Structure
In standard form, BIF-P-Elastic Industrial is installed over an epoxy primer at a nominal 2mm thickness. Where the floor undulates, BIF can apply a Regulating Primer Layer to remove undulation prior to installation of the resin screed.
The finished surface is very smooth and is sealed with a satin or matt sealer to lock in colour stability .
The standard system can be tailored and can include a self levelling baselayer for added durability or increased flatness of the finished surface.
An anti-slip finish can be created for areas where underfoot safety are of concern. BIF-EP-Grip Eco
