Interiors

Choosing a seamless resin finish for your home is a relatively recent trend, but reflects a desire to change the way we live at home. Open-plan living encourages us to choose seamless finishes, with large sections of floor being entirely free of joints.

Coupled with this the hard, cold feel of a ceramic tile can feel harsh, given the UK climate and even with the relative warmth of hardwood floors, it's understandable that the feel of a smooth and flexible resin floor is just as appealing.

For the many benefits of a resin floor, there are a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning; firstly, unlike with ceramic tiles, carpet, linoleum or hardwood flooring, a resin floor is installed in layers. Once you start installing a resin floor, walking across these areas won't be possible for several days; so you need to be ready to move out for a few days, or plan your living without accessing these areas while we install the floor.

The other drawback can be cost. A resin floor will be more expensive than a ceramic tile or hardwood floor; the cost difference reduces when larger areas are installed, but a resin floor is never going to be cheap.
