System Structure
The system consists of 3 main layers. Each layer can be modified to suit either the situations on site, or tailored to give you more of what is needed from the floor finish.
Section 1 - Regulation Layer
This provides a stabilising and smoothing layer over your existing floor.
Where required, we would include a a moisture tolerant primer here. This layer stabilises the floor we're applying resin to and the blend of resin, graded sand & fibre reinforcement binds and surfaces of the existing floor.
In situations where the floor undulates in level, we tailor the regulation process to provide the necessary amount of smoothing.
Section 2 - Quartz Body Layer
Once the floor is sufficiently smooth and level, our team apply a layer of resin and fully cast the surface with decorative aggregate. The surface is then grout filled with clear resin and is finished to be impervious.
Section 3 - Surface Treatment
Depending on the type and degree of slip resistance needed, our team then treat the surface using specific techniques. The surface finish will be uniform in profile and appearance.
Significant savings can be seen on larger areas where the system saves time because it can be installed more quickly than similar materials.

Volume Counts
BIF have installed over 23,000sqm of BIF-EP-Quartz in the UK over the last 10 years. The system is fast to install and on larger projects, our fixed costs start levelling out, allowing significant cost reductions.
The real beauty of this system is the surface consistency. Comparable trowel applied quartz screeds simply don't have the degree of surface regularity that this system provides.
Due to the structure of the system, undulation in concrete can be flattened out during processing, allowing us to achieve very flat and consistent surface finishes.
The system provides very high resistance to loading & impact too, with a Compressive Strength of 80N/mm2.

BIF-EP-Quartz-V is a tough wall finish ideal for use in Showers, Seclusion Rooms or other areas where a seamless hygienic wall finish is required.
BIF-EP-Quartz-V works with BIF-EP-Quartz to provide a decorative but tough working surface, which is easily cleaned, decorative and safe.
