Portfolio
Below are a few examples of our projects.
Together our portfolio demonstrates the wide range of capabilities we hold for installing industrial floor and wall finishes; all to very high standards. Our ability to adapt industrial systems to work very effectively in Commercial or Public Space Contracts allows main contractors and end users a new alternative to tiles, timber or vinyl finishes.
We're very different to many resin flooring contractors and many of the projects completed below involved complex but very necessary concrete repair or reconstruction work before any resin could be applied.
LAID TO LAST is something we take care to achieve, providing knowledge, skill, experience & care to our customers year after year.
Levelling the 398m2 Jack Zone either side of the track involved installing layers to regulate a maximum 18mm thickness, achieving a tolerance of <2mm/m2.
2020
Our engineered repairs included numerous crack & surface repairs, regulating levels to provide a consistent working surface.
We then applied a 4mm thick flexible, crack bridging, Polyurethane screed.
BIF uplifted sections of the floor, installed new fibre reinforced base screeds & installed 9mm of Heavy Duty Polyurethane Screed.
The work was completed over 9 phases.
The work involved removal & reinstatement of 120,000kg of old screeds with new fibre reinforced screeds & 9mm thick polyurethane screed.
Over 1000m2 preparation of walls & ceilings; applying hygienic wall coatings & installation of over 100lin m of Stainless Steel Drainage components.
The project completed on time and on budget.
Our work involved removal & reinstatement of a defective resin screed, tidying multiple poor detailing issues & returning the installation as a high quality finish, within a tight timeframe.
The project completed on time & to a very respectable standard.
The 460m2 project was completed in 2 phases, on time & defect free.
After submitting detailed proposals to repair defects, BIF agreed a phased Programme of works to undertake crack repairs to an underfloor heated floor screed & then reinstate new resin floor and wall finishes.
Many of the techniques used by our team were unique, returning Cell surfaces to be safe, hygienic and durable for years to come.
2019
Our work involved crack repairs to the existing concrete floors & installing Stainless Steel Drainage. The project completed on time & on budget.
The floor then received a 6mm thick cushioned layer before we applied a 4mm flexible polyurethane finish, sealed with a satin sealer.
The floor is performing beautifully and is easy to clean & is both warm & comfortable underfoot.
We removed the defective surface, levelled the surface with epoxy regulating layers (0-8mm thick) & installed a 4mm thick epoxy screed to reinstate designed floor tolerances.
The project completed on time and continues to provide a hard wearin surface for this leading glazing manufacturer.
In this instance, a high specification anti-static resin screed was required for an assembly area within an Aerospace Factory.
As part of our scope, BIF then employed a qualified specialist to carry out electrical resistivity testing before handing the conformity certificate to the client on completion.
Fibre reinforced layers provide durability, but the real benefit is the consistency of surface finish we’re able to achieve. 6 years warranty provided too.
2018
BIF applied BIF-EP-Grip-Eco at a nominl 3mm thickness, applied to a fibre reinforced regulation layer.
The project completed on time and for the agreed cost.
The 680m2 area then received a fibre reinforced regulation layer before BIF-EP-Quartz Eco was applied to leave a decorative, smooth surface finish in this high-tech manufacturing showroom.
To achieve this, we had our team trained & we hired Dry Ice Blasting equipment to reach even the toughest areas of this 450m2 process area.
The work, which involved working at a height of 5m was supervised throughout by our management team and accessed by a combination of scaffold & powered access equipment.
We completed on time, with all coating removed.
1000m2 of fibre reinforced resin screed installed in a mjor internal salads production facility.
The work required our team to work within a live wing, removing failing wall renders and floor screed and installing new Quartz Resin floor and walls surfaces.
The project was completed in 24 phases, using the same team members, who worked with care & sensitivity; a credit to our company in every respect.
Over 1500m2 of internal cladding was installed to workshop, staircase & service areas, ensuring walls could be cleaned down and would not need regular redecoration. The project was completed on time and at an agreed cost with many variations to the original scope.
2017
Our teams can complete large areas quickly and by working over weekends, using fast cure coatings,we'll not get in the way of your production.
BIF proposed our resin system as a direct alternative to the specified system. We installed one room & gave the Architects the choice on which system should be adopted. They chose BIF-EP-Quartz.
We then agreed strict site conditions & Programme & completed the installation on time & to the approval of all.
Both standard and Anti-Static versions were installed and the project, which was delayed due to issues beyond our control, ws completed for the areed tendered cost and to a very high standard.
A further project was secured with the same client later that year.
