created substantial problems for the company which
relied almost exclusively of Food & Drink Sectors.
New markets were identified and we became involved
in Secure Environments.
Mac Higley left BIF due to ill health. The company
continued to win contracts in new markets such as
retail and leisure sectors. |
| |
|

2002 |
BIF embarked on a program of personal development
to all members of staff, improving training
opportunities and achieving
Investors In People
status later that same year. BIF also became
approved contractors of the
Constructionline,
providing opportunities in Local Authority works.

We recognised the growing need to improve our
internal safety and environmental responsibilities
and embarked on a major overhaul of our
traditional sytems. Away went the standard risk
assessments and method statements and along came a
tailored solution to meet our own specific needs.

2004 |
Simon Bellamy became Managing Director. |
| |
|
|

management team to improve customer service. 2
dedicated estimators increased the number of
enquiries we could handle and the introduction of
an Operations Manager further enhanced our
organisation and performance. We also joined the
National Federation of Builders
as a specialist contractor. |

Mike Goodman retired from the business. |
| |
|
|
2007 |
BIF continued to improve health and safety systems
by introducing vibration and noise testing of
every piece of equipment (a substantial investment
by a company of our size). BIF introduced software
to improve control over costs and stock , giving
us the edge by calculating costs far more
accurately than we historically could have done. |
| |
|
|
2008 |
Difficult trading conditions for many companies
mean't a concerted effort in finding new sectors
needing our expertise. Food industry sales fell
but were supported by rising involvement with
publicly funded schemes. |
| |
|
|
2009 |
Sales growth holds steady, despite toughening
trading conditions. We are pleased to confirm
increased sales and no job losses. |
